About Nick

 New York native Nick Moran holds a BFA in Jazz Performance from the City College of New York where he was a protégé student of the great Ron Carter.  Jazz Music writes: “His exceptional composing ability and fertile writer's imagination are reflected in a playing style that is transparent in its articulation, logical, devoid of trite cliches.” Moran conducts master classes in rhythm studies and improvisation, and fronts his own organ trio. In addition to guitar, Moran is a multi-instrumentalist, exploring folk, blues, and Irish music on mandolin, ukulele, fiddle and Irish bouzouki.
